RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking growth oriented mid-level to experienced candidates to be part of our engineering team in Chattanooga, TN. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will work heavily with our customers engineering staff to support new development of off-road vehicles.

Control Systems Engineer – CodeSys

Description

  • Develop control systems for new product applications including drive systems & Telematics
  • Applying engineering rigor in harness, hardware, sensor, and display development activities
  • Assisting clients product improvement teams regarding electrical system components
  • Component selection, development, and integration
  • Collaborating with internal and external resources to execute a validation plan for electrical components
  • Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems
  • Working with manufacturing, quality, and supply management teams
  • Communicating with team members at a professional level
  • Providing engineering support to vehicle and attachment teams

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Previous electrical system & programming experience
  • Knowledge of CodeSys, Danfoss Plus1 or Parker Iqan
  • Candidates must have excellent communication, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of off-road equipment
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Project management experience
  • Travel: Minimal, less than 10%

Desired Attributes

  • Experience with Off-road equipment or Highway Vehicles
  • Light coding experience in C/C++
  • Knowledge systems engineering processes
  • Knowledge of CAN Communications
  • 3-5 years minimum product development experience
