Who We Are Looking For

AGCO is looking for a Design Engineer Intern to join our grain and protein engineering team in Assumption, IL.

This is a paid, full-time internship during the summer of 2023 at AGCO Grain and Protein headquarters in Assumption, Illinois. Housing is provided for students who reside more than fifty miles from Assumption. Students are required to work forty hours per week on-site at our office in Assumption from May 31 through August 5, 2023.

What You Will Do

Product Design

• Communicate with Team Leader, Engineering Manager and Product Manager to understand and verify product requirements and cost targets.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineer/Quality Associate for manufacturing documentation
• Customer interface and feedback of key features
• Analyze and identify risks
• Computer based design and simulation

• Production readiness
• Gain manufacturing inputs during Lean design activities
• Mitigate production issues through engineering and product managers
• Collaborate with ME/QA to assure successful manufacturing launch.
• Support tech services

What You Will Bring

• Enrollment in a degree program in design engineer, agricultural engineering or related field
• Must be registered as a full-time student
• Must be able to commute to work location on a daily basis

A Plus If You Have

• Strong computer literacy: MS Office Suite; web-based applications
• An agricultural background or experience.
• Proficiency in Creo 3D.
• Building code knowledge and structural design experience
