Dev/Research Engineer || Mossville, IL

Typical task breakdown:

Support the existing electromechanical switch catalog consisting of over 800-part numbers, identifying existing solutions for our customer’s needs.

Participate and lead projects to develop new components that are not currently in the team’s product line to support enterprise objectives regarding cost, quality and velocity.

Develop validation and implementation plans for the release of new switches to the existing catalog

Manage switch suppliers and process engineering change requests to support our customers’ needs

Support engineering team members with staff level engineering assignments

Interaction with team:

Needs to be a self-starter, but also collaborate with local and larger teams

Work with local team in order to understand processes and procedures

Collaborate with an international team on project and component details

Individual work will be self-directed in order to meet customer and supplier timelines

Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of design or validation experience. Electrical, Mechanical, Agricultural or Mechatronics degrees are preferred

A Master’s degree in any of the above fields with at least 2 years of same experience

Ability to read and understand prints, specifications and standards

Experience managing projects with an unknown solution at the start of the project
