Your Responsibilities

As a Development Engineer for the John Deere Harvester Works division located in East Moline at Silvis, IL, you will:

  • Performs basic product design, testing and/or analysis work for a defined portion of a project.
  • Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews.
  • Develops recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation.
  • Executes test or analysis plan for product verification and validation.
  • Supports field testing sites.

What Skills You Need

  • 1 or more years of experience in product engineering, design and/or test.
  • Experience with 3D modeling.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in roles that demonstrate an understanding of creating efficient solutions to technical problems.
  • Must have an Engineering degree

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with agricultural or heavy equipment, vehicle, component, or software testing.
  • Technical knowledge of diesel engine systems.
  • Experience using data collection and/or data processing software.
  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems.

Education Details

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
