Wilson & Company prefers a professional registration or the ability to get registered when qualified. The activities you will be supporting may include switch gear expansions, adding motor control centers, updating VFD systems, and managing power flows across the network. Documentation to define the project may include system layouts and sizing, switching diagram development, distribution, one-line, and three-line development, equipment specifications, and transformer sizing to name a few. Gathering field data and generating electrical distribution models for customer systems are common projects. Once you are on our team, you will be working with commercial, industrial, utility, midstream, petrochemical, mining, minerals, material handling, food processing, agricultural, power, electrical distribution, and municipal customers. Essential Job Functions:
- A self-motivating personality with good communication skills is desired.
- Client interaction and coordination on an occasional basis.
- Effectively fosters relationships with team members and clients, as well as industry stakeholders and regulators.
- Participates in business development activities.
- Effective communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Good understanding of required engineering principles of power systems.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Creation and management of the electrical scope of work for the project.
- Oversee development of detailed design drawings
- Proficiency with SKM or Etap system analysis software for load flow, short circuit analysis, and arc flash hazards is a plus.
- Specification and selection of distribution equipment to meet the system requirements.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 2 ~ 4 years of experience with electrical design.
- Currently a licensed professional engineer in a US state is prefered.
- Experience in the preparation of work plans, budgets and project schedules is highly desired.
- Travel requirements will be job dependent, anticipate a few days per month.
