Title: Engine & Cooling Engineer – 97330

Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As an Engine & Cooling Engineer for Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will:

  • Have ownership of Product Development Program (PDP) engine & cooling system design for Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs) including component selection, design review leadership, component selection/integration leadership, and interaction with cross functional teams.
  • Provide work direction to supporting engineers, including on-site contractors and off-site engineers supporting ADTs
  • Diagnosing and resolving field issues with Product Support and DTAC teams
  • Execute ISDP design activities to feed future PDP programs.

What Skills You Need

  • 2 or more years of engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work for a defined portion of a project.
  • 2 or more years’ experience determining root cause and identifying corrective actions.
  • 2 or more years’ experience collaborating with suppliers on design engineering requirements.
  • Effective communication skills verbal, written and organizational.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating effectively with cross functional teams.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with off-road equipment engine or cooling design, simulation, manufacturing and test processes, component development with suppliers
  • Experience working with Creo or other 3-D modeling software
  • Experience working with PDP/EPDP processes
  • Experience working in SAP
  • Experience working in projects or part workflow management
  • Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of off-highway engine and cooling systems.


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or equivalent
