Hydraulics System Engineer meets goals for new product development, current product quality and reliability and cost reduction goals. This individual will report into a Tractor & Implement Hydraulics team and will be based out of Goodfield.

Responsibilities

  • Design, development and detailing of hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems, including electro-hydraulic and mechanical components and systems for Tillage Implement applications. Generating new Tillage hydraulic system design concepts that will improve vehicle performance, value to the customer or increases number of features. Creating engineering specifications for new hydraulic and pneumatic components or systems and working closely with suppliers during the development and validation phase.
  • Incorporating engineering standards, methodologies and CNH Industrial global product development processes into daily work tasks. Utilizing Creo, Teamcenter, Automation Studio and other relevant software to create and develop hydraulic system designs and layouts. Assessing and mitigating design risks by scheduling and organizing design reviews and DFMEA’s.
  • Developing plans to achieve cost and reliability targets of components and systems. Contributing to the overall cost reduction and profitability related to component design of new and existing products. Proposing new and innovative design concepts, inventions, patents and opportunities for improvement. Ensuring completion of engineering activities within project objectives and timeline. Supporting management and senior engineers in the completion of projects.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $87,000 annually

(Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Engineering
  • Minimum of 1 year of hydraulic engineering experience with agriculture or any off-highway equipment.
  • Ability to travel domestically approximately 5%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience on product development from concept creation to design and validation to release
  • Demonstrated Hydraulic engineering experience specifically on Agricultural or other Off-Highway Products.
  • Understanding of mobile hydraulic component and system design, including electro-hydraulic systems.
  • Demonstrated ability and interest to conduct technical hands-on, and analytical tasks
  • Experience with 3D CAD-software (ProE/Creo preferred) , Hydraulic simulation (like Automation Studio, Amesim)
  • Knowledge of Ag Implements like Tillage, Planters, Seeders is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross discipline teams as well as being a strong individual contributor.
  • Demonstrated root-cause identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
