Title: Machining Manufacturing Engineer – 97195
Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position
Your Responsibilities
As a Machining Manufacturing Engineer in John Deere Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will support and implement process routings for new program parts including: quality planning activities including statistical process control, process monitoring, and product inspection; development of process routings; procurement of tooling ang gaging; and as needed justification and procurement of machine tools in support of part manufacturing. In addition, you will:
- Troubleshoot and resolve production process, machine, and quality issues
- Recommend process flow and manufacturing cell design that support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System
- Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations Implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas
- Assist in team studies related to capacity, productivity and efficiency
- Specify, design and manage the procurement of cast iron manufacturing equipment, tools and gauges

What Skills You Need
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete multiple, concurrent projects
- Experience using EdgeCAM or Creo/NC, Mori TMS, Zoller presetters, FANUC Controls, Kotem and TMAC
- Experience applying cast iron manufacturing tools and technology
- Knowledge of CMM report structure
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience in shop floor process adjustments necessary to correct geometry and quality problems
- Knowledge and use of SAP business software
- Experienced with SQL and Oracle databases, Python and data analysis software
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering discipline
