Process Engineer (Multiple Positions), Archer Daniels Midland Company, Decatur, IL. Under direction of Project Engineer, build, review and approve Pressure Relief Device (PRD) sizing calculations. Assist with collection of design data, dimensions and information required for Pressure Relief Valve sizing analysis. Develop and maintain process simulations and material and energy balance analyses for process systems. Perform vent header analysis and final reporting. Participating in a Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA). Closing of Management of Change (MOC). Perform evaluations of pressure vessel designs for mechanical integrity calculations. Generate Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Chemical Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience.
Must have two (2) years of knowledge or experience with/in the following:
- Sizing Pressure Relief Devices (PRDs).
- Using Aspen Plus or Aspen HYSYS to perform analysis.
- Reading and interpreting at least 2 of the following industry codes and standards: ASME, ANSI, ASTM, API, and/or PIP.
- Reading, interpreting, and/or applying P&ID, PFD and Isometric drawings for pressure relief analysis.
- Using Aspen, PSPPM, iPRSM, or any generic tool to perform overpressure/relief analysis.
Up to 10% domestic travel required.
