Job Description

Danfoss is seeking a hands-on, flexible Lab (Electrical) Technician to join our team. You will work in a team-oriented environment and will have exposure to many different processes and tasks.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Create designs for new hydraulic pump and motor product features and implement modifications to improve existing designs
  • Develop effective verification plans using DFMEA, Design Reviews, and expert input for hydraulic pumps and motors
  • Execute analysis and test plans, analyze data, and document results and conclusions in engineering reports for hydraulic pumps and motors
  • Analyze data and present results to the organization and customers in support of engineering, operations, and procurement projects related to hydraulic pumps and motors
  • Solve functional, application, or production problems related to the design of hydraulic pumps and motors and their interactions with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Develop original or innovative approaches to hydrostatic product design, cost reduction, and problem solving
  • Provide hydrostatic technical support for and collaborate with internal organizations such as manufacturing, marketing, service, product support, and purchasing, as well as external customers and suppliers

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering.
  • Academic research experience (undergraduate or graduate) involving engineering design including developing, instrumenting, and testing to validate system performance.
  • 1 year experience as an engineer in either hydraulics industry, automotive industry, or mobile equipment industry.
  • Permanent U.S. work authorization.
