We develop Robotic Technology Kernel (RTK), which is the Ground Vehicle Systems Center’s (GVSC) library of modular software package that can be used for common ground autonomy software. The United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), located in Warren, Michigan, is the United States Armed Forces’ research and development facility for advanced technology in ground systems. GVSC is dedicated to getting robotics capability into the hands of Soldiers.
Essential Job Functions:
Works on DevSecOps, simulation, and tooling topics for autonomous ground vehicle systems.
Champions and develops continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline to support automated testing and artifact delivery for multiple projects within a product line. The challenge is to achieve this using the limited tools that are at our disposal and incrementally improve so we have the best that is attainable Mentor team members to develop DevOps competency.
Willingness to take broader scope than just DevSecOps development as part of the AGILE team, sometimes contributing as a full-stack developer.
Improves software development practices of the product line by implementing state-of-the-art best practices.
Develops data acquisition tools and perform data analytics.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain Secret clearance.
B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering, or Information Technology and 5 years of experience.
Proficient in C++ and Python.
Demonstrated understanding of Java.
At least 2+ years of CI/CD tools experience, e.g. AWS and Jenkins.
GIT, Docker, Scrum, Bitbucket, Jira, SIL, experience.
Robotics and autonomous systems experience, e.g. Robotic Operating Systems.
Web Development Experience (HTML5, React, Electron).
