Software Developer – Full Stack (Remote)

Role Overview:

As part of the Digital Technologies Portals & Integration team, you’ll help drive digital transformation by supporting and developing new application in our portal platform, Liferay, using ReactJS, Java and SQL. These solutions are a core component in our initiative to create a more digital experience for our customers, partners and employees.

In the Software Developer role, you’ll be a key contributor to the growth of our portal platform and the applications with in it. Experience in modern JavaScript frameworks, Java and/or C# and with database experience preferred. A solid understanding of enterprise architecture concepts and ability to work closely with customers are key to success in this role.

**This individual can sit at any Collins domestic location or remote. **

Primary Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing customized web applications using Liferay Digital Experience Portal platform.

Designing, coding, debugging software solutions using Java/J2EE, ReactJS, NodeJS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

Develops unit tests and provides code coverage to accurately test business logic and functionality.

Troubleshooting and debugging Liferay & Java applications.

Developing and integrating Liferay themes, layouts, and portlets.

Keeping up to date with Liferay and web development best practices.

Collaborate with other developers, product owners, and designers to deliver solutions.

Effectively communicate with customers.

Accurately estimate project tasks and timelines.

Work with architects and senior developers to create scalable, extensible, and sustainable solutions.

Build CI/CD pipelines, works with DevOPS team, for streamlined and effective deployments. Troubleshoot build issues and support deployments.

Enhance technical acumen through research, user groups and professional development.

Basic Qualifications:

Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

3+ years development experience in Liferay Digital Experience or similar Portal technology

3+ years Java or C#

3+ ReactJS, NodeJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS

3+ years web development

3+ years in designing and developing REST services.

2+ years of experience in PL/SQL like MS SQL Server

Strong backend and database skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Portal technology like Liferay Digital Experience platform (7 or higher)

Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)

Experience in CI/CD with tools like Jenkins, Azure Pipelines etc

Experience with using Monitoring tools like Dynatrace.

Basic server administration

Basic network administration

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD – 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
